Pipelines from Brinsworth supply steel making factories along with a fleet of road tankers. For this up to 200 specialist chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers are employed as well as dedicated administration and managerial personnel. The company has an international recruitment policy and will soon be taking on young people through the local connexions employment strategy. Throughout BOC's history near Tinsley there has never been an incident involving Tinsley residents. BOC's future plans include expansion and development of the facility to increase output from the site and to house its specialists closer to the plant. The companies directors at present are looking at proposals for a takeover from another european industry leader. |
