Formed in 1987, we have depots in Sheffield and Aylesbury and operate all the usual general freight forwarding services for our customers. We also operate other services which most of our competitors can not, such as the ability to load/unload out of gauge cargo, motor vehicles, steel lengths and bulk products into standard containers. This reduces the need for our customers to utilise open top and other costly containers.

The movement of Heavy Lift and Project Cargo is also a speciality of ours. Some reputable organisations have found that outsourcing their entire "Supply Chain" to NWT Freight Forwarding has proved extremely profitable for them.

In 1974, Frank Newell and Paul Wright formed Newell & Wright Transport. In those early days, we were a very small general haulage company, operating from rented premises. Over the following 30 years we have grown substantially in size, resulting in the company changing premises three times before moving to the current 6.5 acre freehold site at Tinsley, Sheffield in 1987. That same year, NWT Freigt Forwarding was formed, enabling us to offer our customers a variety of other freight solutions.

These days, the Newell & Wright Group have an annual turnover in excess of £ 33 Million, an excellent financial status and we employ over 250 staff, many of whom have remained with the company as we have grown.
